Apparently covid was the cause of the slaughter at the mostly peaceful parade. Who woulda thunk, especially when the prosecutor and others campaigned on a platform of eliminating or ridiculously reducing bail requirements. The prosecutor even said right after he was elected that killings would occur but that it was an acceptable price to pay: "Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into treatment program, who's going to go out and kill somebody?" Chisholm told the Journal Sentinel. "You bet. Guaranteed. It's guaranteed to happen. It does not invalidate the overall approach." CNN: "Prosecutors across the country this year have confronted a logistical challenge caused by the pandemic, balancing the need to move cases through the system with the risks of exposure that comes with defendants going to court and jail." If Trump had done more to reduce the spread of the virus, then this would not have happened. There ya go, Tards. I am a giver. Just saved you from making a post. Some astute ones here might argue that the judge has to approve such bail arrangements so the judges are not without accountabilty here and that is true. However, it is the job of the prosecutor to represent the people and the state's interest. Not the judge's and the defendant's. If the prosecutor argued for something else or was constrained by statute, well, he can say that. OR NOT.
