CNN, NBC, MSNBC journalists say Republicans can't be covered equally with Democrats

CNN's Brian Stelter, NBC's Lester Holt and others have rejected idea of balanced reporting

Figures on liberal media networks CNN, NBC and MSNBC have pushed the narrative that Republicans do not deserve equal coverage alongside their Democratic counterparts, often claiming Republicans stand for anti-Democratic values and are more likely to push falsehoods. On MSNBC's "The ReidOut" Monday night, Joy Reid and her guest, left-wing political analyst Matthew Dowd, suggested the media were too neutral in their reporting on the Republican Party, and thus needed to ramp up the hostility. She added that both sides were "not the same," and also urged fellow reporters to "tell voters" the GOP was a "threat" to freedom.

With the low ratings of MSNBC and CNN, you have to wonder if these organizations are really being operated for the benefit of their shareholders.

Mainstream media is a globalist puppet, as is most of the political class.
Biden poverty is a threat to freedom.

There’s covering equally and then there’s fact checking and vetting what people say.

It’s a fact that republicans push dubious conspiracy theories and falsehoods as part of their messaging. ie January 6th was a group of tourists or pollution isn’t the cause of climate change or more guns means less crime. We’re all familiar with the basic dumb shit republicans say.

So, why should the media fact check and vet this stuff? Because these aren’t opinions, they’re lies and misinformation. A political platform should not be used to push falsehoods through the population. One of the reasons why we have freedom of the press is the people should be informed with the truth.

So when we say equally covering, everyone should be fact checked and vetted. And if Republicans are pushing more falsehoods than democrats then they will be unequally fact checked and vetted.

  5. You say this, yet the media networks that serve as an extension of the DNC lived, breathed, and committed all of their hopes and programming to the Trump Russian collusion scam for years.

Lefty media programs have a problem but many of their viewers do not. They just watch surf over to Fox when they have had enough Chris Cuomo and Brian Stelter. More dems are watching Fox than the dnc clown programs.

If you got a beef with media why stop at the “lefty” ones? Also, you see more reputable journalists leave right wing media for “lefty” outlets than vice versa. That right there should tell you what kind of journalism you’re getting.

But regardless of all of this. The question at hand was should the media cover democrats and republicans “equally” and I say it depends on the amount of falsehoods and lies. The basics of it all. Also, this is also a question of whether a news outlet has a responsibility in accurately reporting to its audience.

I feel you guys that watch cable news either way, left or right. You can always tell because you guys usually come with some weird shit like climate change is a hoax and at the expense of a false equivalency corporations are making too much profits. This kind of stuff just doesn’t jibe unless you’re watching cable news.

big media is mostly jew run, they are mostly libbies. perhaps some kind of
germanic complex made them that way. not sure.

which is odd being that conservatives want freedom less gubmint, libs want
    central control like nazi germany.

    just strange but whatever..

  8. But what does it get the lefty networks for viewership when all the shuffling of deck chairs on the Titanic is said and done? Not much. If Chris Wallace leaves Fox to go over to join the CNN witness protection program never to be seen again, so what?

You and your ilk think you have been getting a high degree of journalism from the Chris Cuomo's and Brian Stelters of leftydom for years. That is fine. It's where you need to be, along with the other handful of other viewers.

The "kind of journalism" that you and leftydom do not like is just- unfortunately for you- the kind that more dems are now watching than are watching the loon networks.

    MAN, THAT'S GOTTA HURT.

The question is why you stop at the "righty" ones.

You just don’t get it. You’re comparing cable news channels to each other when most people get their TV news from the networks and cable news is a dwarf in comparison.

You’re touting Fox News having higher ratings than cnn as if that means something more than a talking point. People turn on the today show while getting their kids ready for school and David Muir in bed at night, or some other news and weather program that is family friendly. Anybody with a life, which is the vast majority of Americans, doesn’t watch cable news. For example, even if I wanted to watch cnn or Fox there’s no way my wife and kids would let me. That sort of thing doesn’t work in a family household.
