CME Clearing Houses (non US) and Client Account Balances

Where do non US Clearing Houses hold their Client account balances.
Is it is the US or is it in the Country of the Clearing House.
ie Would a Hong Kong CME Clearing House hold Client account balances in the US or in HK.
