It looks like its Hillary Clinton VS Elizabeth Warren. This cat fight is going to be very entertaining.
Not just at the top...dems are having their own "tea party" moment: After Losses, Liberal and Centrist Democrats Square Off on Strategy WASHINGTON — The Democrats’ widespread losses last week have revived a debate inside the party about its fundamental identity, a long-running feud between center and left that has taken on new urgency in the aftermath of a disastrous election and in a time of deeply felt economic anxiety. The discussion is taking place in postelection meetings, conference calls and dueling memos from liberals and moderates. But it will soon grow louder, shaping the actions of congressional Democrats in President Obama’s final two years and, more notably, defining the party’s presidential primaries in 2016. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/15/us/politics/democratic-party-iberals-and-moderates.html?_r=0
In previous posts, I have outlined the Civil War within the North Carolina Democratic party over the previous 24 months. The strife left the North Carolina Democratic party bankrupt and having to sell its headquarter building in order to meet its debt obligations. It also meant that Kay Hagan's Senate campaign was led by the Wake County Democratic Party since nobody could trust the North Carolina Democratic Party with money. There was a continual churn in the North Carolina Democratic Party leadership over the past three years with endless allegations of wrongdoing, lawsuits, and votes to eject members. The root of the problem is that the North Carolina Democratic Party is split into two very different factions; the "urban faction" which is aligned with national Democratic policy, and the rural faction which are the old-style Democratic "power brokers" collecting cash donations in brown bags and still running KKK members for office. The acrimony is deep between the two factions, with each decrying the others candidates and refusing funding support for particular initiatives. This disarray has led to the North Carolina Democratic party losing the state legislature (which they held for 100 years) and the governor's mansion in recent elections. It appears that it will take the party a long time to re-build.
Here is the latest from North Carolina about a state Democratic party at war with itself... Voller not seeking another term as NC Dems mend fences http://www.wral.com/voller-not-seeking-another-term-as-nc-dems-mend-fences/14184916/
