  3. Don't like halts. Do you think they really help a market like the US? I really don't know... :(

I am kind of CB supporter :) Limits have been in commodities for ages ... Considering all the derivatives markets and how so many markets are interrelated stocks - futures - options ... if there are no circuit breakers in place the whole system would just freeze and go belly up. Thanks to CB the system, people, machines, whatever participates nowaday :) gains some space to adjust

What happens after market reopens? How is the CB going to affect trading then?

That's illogical. We have plenty of processing power and data bandwidth to process everything. It's not 1993 anymore.

I am recalling the flash crash and this is not true .... you mean getting quotes with 10, 15, 20 mins delay is just fine ...

but human nature is the same. Sometimes a small period of time is needed to catch a breath

Agree with this. It's really hard to keep that panic in your stomach for 15 minutes. Gives the body a chance to reach homeostasis so you don't make an emotional decision.

I like the pauses. The algo's are a bigger deal now and could cause what would be high volatility to turn into absolute chaos. I think people can agree that we want to KNOW what the actual price is in real time and be able to make decisions with valid, current data. It seems like the pauses help in that regard.
