Yep, it always gets very messy and complicated when we put our rich Western ideals on poor nations. Remember, massive amounts of human rights abuses in our countries 100-200+ years ago. Boys working down mines (Olivier Twist up chimneys), little girls working semi-slave labour in the mills etc. We made progress on such matters but it took time.
