"And rightly so it again appears", he said on Twitter. "We as EU will have to act harder in the WTO to do something about this." Consequences on EU-China Trade or Business as Usual ?
The Chinese are smart but have no morals. But the US does the same, using NSA and with help from the UK. In China, or Russia, no foreigner would ever get such a position which would enable him to do that, the US and the EU are too soft in these things. Flower power mentality... peace man! There is a saying: If a Dutchman didn't steal from you, he'd forgot to do it.
It would be impossible to steal from an Eastern European as they own nothing to steal from in the first place, maybe a sack of potatoes or turnips, that's all.
I fear that the outcome will be "Business as Usual" for ASML. They have too many customers in China. Therefore they are not in a position to "rock the boat" too much as it will impact their business substantially. All they can hope for is that the information which was stolen is meanwhile outdated and won't affect their business on the most recent equipment lineup.
