but the vast majority of it's citzens are better off then they were 30 years ago and actually happy with THEIR gov't. your a foreigner and probably never been to China or ask its' citizens what they think of THEIR country. Hong Kong was like cayman islands in the 1960's awesome place to launder money or trade as it had no tarriffs and no customs and free trading port. and total privacy in it's banking system and no capital gain taxes and sales taxes etc. no income tax in the 1960's and the stock market was no market manipulation and no algos in the exchange. as market manipulation is banned in Hong Kong. exchanges. what people don't understand is that Hong Kong was the only 'free trade' country in Asia in the 1960's, it's policy was 100% free market capitalis, not regulations, no gov't interference in business or people lives , no welfare etc. only thing gov't was to enforce the criminal laws or rule of law. or national defense. no min. wage etc crime rampant in US..and mexico failed states. gov't no longer control the streets. thugs and gangs own the streets. back i nthe 1960's gangs and the triad mafia control Hong Kong. the mafia or gangs in the local level is the gov't that protected citizens from criminals via protection money. there is no protection from the cops in the US or financial regulators. the gov't is part of the criminal racket. and helping the criminals. ripping of the public. what is happening in the US and some parts of Mexico is anarchy. .not gov't control. in some parts of the country. gangs and thugs own the streets. you have cops afraid of being killed on the job by gangs and thugs which should be the other way around. etc?
