Chinese company wants to buy Jeep

    China's Great Wall sets sights on Jeep
    Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor Co. told Automotive News it is interested in buying the Jeep brand and has reached out to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to see whether a deal can be negotiated. The move would slice Jeep from the rest of FCA's brands, leaving question marks over the future of Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge and Ram. FCA already said it would consider splitting Alfa Romeo and Maserati into their own company.(Automotive News)

    If Chrysler sells Jeep they might as well close up shop....

    I'm not that certain that the FC is would be worth a ton more than the Jeep brand alone. Might make sense to buy the whole thing. Would need the Italian government and CFIUS approval. CFIUS would be a real challenge in this environment.
