plus a huge middle class to sell too. plus as China builds up its domestic industries, more companies will go their to support those industries.
Any one with common sense understands the inevitability that China is to become the world's greatest economic power. The sheer size of their population is enough of a market for its enterprises as it further transitions to a first world economy, and anyone not doing business with China will lose out. This doesn't mean that China should be considered a threat but understand that countries do what's best for them. I believe we are far more likely to modify China's behavior by working in concert with our allies through soft coercion and strict red lines when it comes to their military incursions in the China seas. On the contrary, bullying them into submission will get us nowhere positive. The nonsense about Huawei or the founder's CFO daughter held in Canada, or the delisting of Chinese telecoms from the NYSE only serve to raise tensions but accomplish nothing but sow the seeds of hatred here and there and I don't think that's what we should be doing.
Yeah wait until they cry about forced technology transfer, technology theft, intelligent property expropriation, forced ownership and profit-sharing of the venture and unfair treatment comparing to government-backed/local businesses. You don't get access to a 1.4-billion people market with spending power for free.
Holding Huawei's CFO in Canada is NOT bullying. Huawai has broken the law and its legal representative has been arrested and is now held in house arrest due to her being an extreme flight risk while waiting to be extradited to the United States to stand trial for charges including fraud laid upon her by the New York District Court of United States, your country. Her entire legal proceeding has been processed with due process complete with legal representation, presentation of charges and charged within 48 hours and etc. as far as I know. I am not sure the same can be said of the two Canadians that China has arrested in China in what I would actually consider a bullying move though given China's track records in human rights. And US's delisting of Chinese companies are no bullying either. WHY should American people's hard-earned dollar go to support Chinese military that one day will turn around to kill us especially when half of the Chinese companies listed on US exchanges are either non-compliant with North American accounting standards or downright fraud: And on the other hand, do any of our companies get listed on Chinese exchanges? And if we do or want to, we have to wrangle with layers and layers of bureaucratic red tapes, unreasonable restrictions and "regulations"... Double standards much? China is now beyond a treat. It should be considered a target if the West wants to maintain its own way of life. If it can't work with the US or the West, with it being so large, then it's a threat. It's very simple. There is no such thing as "if we can't fight them we must join them" crap. We are not doing the Saruman s*** here. It's strange that you claim that you are "American" and yet every single thing that comes out of your mouth has been either praising China or defending China or condemning US. LOL And meanwhile, you have offered zero trading advice or shared any trading knowledge when ET is a trading forum. You turn every thread into political topics eventually presenting how great China is, in one way or another. Are you a Chinese spy employed by China to spread propaganda by any chance?
So let's see... because I'm critical of the former Trump administration or US policies: You question my ethnicity You question my loyalty You question my freedom of speech Yup, you're a Trumpist
Of course I am a Trumpist. That's not a secret. I do share many of his views and ideas but not some of his methods. But other people who are also critical of Trump never question Trump's stand against China and would never see the arrest of Huawei to have it answer for the crime it has committed albeit allegedly as a "bullying move" and would never see America's economic policy as "white-dominated" like what you wrote here: when it's clear the economic policy of America even unde Trump has never had anything to do with race only with $$. When Trump levied tariffs against China, he had also levied tariffs against Germany and Canada and many European nations on their biggest exports. Germany, Canada and all those European nations are all "white"???!! And are all American allies? So how are Trump's economic policies "white-dominated"?? And if you are an American or even White, you would see that clearly so I don't just question your ethnicity or loyalty or whatever. I have never believed that you are white or even American. You never post in any threads except when they have something to do with China and you are always advocating for submissions to China whenever you have a chance. You are either a Chinese deeply brainwashed by Chinese propaganda or a Chinese spy spreading Chinese propaganda here. There is no way you are American or even "white". Anybody who is really Caucasian never needs to openly advertise that they are white. LOL You can have your freedom of speech but you are still a Chinese spy. Say how much do you get paid by the Chinese government? Are you willing to share with us?
I've dated quite a few Chinese ladies, um that's all I can contribute lol. They're great. A force to be reckoned with.... the country. No easy answers, they are the world's oldest, strongest and biggest superpower. They've been around for centuries and will definitely dominate the world's industries. They are the strongest superpower. It is wise to respect and honor them and to negotiate intelligently.
