I'm looking to get Bloomberg News from their wire and I'm looking for any services that could provide that for relatively cheap (a few hundred a month at most). It just doesn't make financial sense for me to buy the terminal when I'm ONLY interested in Bloomberg headlines -- with ~ <3 seconds latency. Any suggestions?
You can get Reuter EIKON terminal badged metastock Xenith for $115 or $165 a month from www.metastock.com
I do but it's still heavily delayed from wire. Twitter parroters are almost always at least 5 seconds behind.
Problem is if everyone has already thought of it, it has no edge. Why not try something different.... Measure how the market reacts to the news and trade that reaction.
It does has edge for what I'm doing. I know people have event driven data feed and react in 0.1 seconds -- this is for something else.
If you have an Interactive Brokers account, it's free. I have it on from 8:00am-9:00am. For some reason, it shuts the whole platform down after one hour. I have eSignal connected to the IB account. And frankly, that's all you need. At 9:00am, it's off. I have gathered everything for the day. CNBC sucks. The "Money Honey" aka Maria Bartiromo days are long over... They now have people ONE YEAR OUT OF COLLEGE, "Journalists", lecturing you on Inflation/Economics. It's bullshit, and I have BSc in Economics from Duke University... Actually, it may be a good thing. One hour maybe just enough!!!
