I would appreciate suggestions for charting programs which can correctly and comprehensively handle the trading schedules for futures and forex (i.e., open in the evening, close in the afternoon of the next day). Of the programs with which I have experience, only QuoteTracker covers 95 percent of the schedule scenarios. I love QuoteTracker; unfortunately it lacks the ability to code custom indicators and the intraday look back period is somewhat short. Thank you. Regards,
I use and like Ensign software. http://www.ensignsoftware.com the cheapest way to power it (re: data) is with interactive brokers data
Jango, You might like Sierra Chart. Unlike quotetracker you can code as much as you want using worksheets (like setting up relationships in excel) or you can go deeper and faster using C dlls. Unlike quotetracker you have access to as much historical data as you've collected or scrounged. Unlike ensign it stores all data in a single file (ensign uses a different file for each tick/time range u use) so you can use all of your historical data for any charting etc you want to do.
