I'm brand new to IBKR. My main trading account is with TDA and I'm trying a few others out. In the picture, you can see that I have multiple orders stacked up for a broken wing butterfly. I had these open when the bell rang this morning. According to the graph, I should have filled every order at some point. As I sat there watching the graph, the price reflected there didn't match the bid/ask shown on the left. Is the price in the graph NOT the actual price of the spread? If not, then what is it? Thanks! Trying to get anyone from customer support is a nightmare! Might just stick with TDA.
There is no "actual" price because it can be anywhere between bid/ask, but I'm usually able to trade such combos near the mid price, with some slippage. Switch your chart to show the mid price (in specific chart's settings, needs to be changed every time for different charts/combos), which will give you better estimates.
Thank you. I used the wrong term, "actual". I typically use mid price and try to trade there as well. I'm not seeing where to change the price to mid?
