  1. Does anybody know how to get range type charts with TWS?

Use ninjatrader or motivewave free editions with the IB api which is a separate download.

  3. Thanks ZBZB for the reply. So the chart would be in those programs not tws? If thats the case can both programs be running at the same time ie motivewave and IB if Motivewave/Ninjatrader are using the data feed from IB?

yes, TWS and your choice of free third party software will update simultaneously. Ninjatrader and motivewave have range bars.

  5. Does Trading View have this option as there is some indicators in there that aren't common. Thx

you can send orders from TradingView website/application to IB for us stocks. Alternatively, there is a cut down version of TradingView in the TWS beta though it only seems to update outside regular trading hours for fx.

  7. So no option then to have Trading View running using my data from IB with tws open and placing trades there on the futures?

TradingView does not use IB data so you will have to pay the high exchange fee to TV for futures. If you use the free IB datafeed into free ninjatrader/motivewave then you only have to pay the low futures exchange fee. There is a large difference in exchange fees for futures between quote vendors and brokers.

  9. i use tradingview with real time market data and use IB api to trade, so i pay only TV. I think with Ninjatrader we can trade with ib account but there are more fees to pay i think.

You have to pay for ninjatrader if you want to use it as trading interface but not to look at charts. No other fees at IB.
