I am aware that actual inflation is lower. But that was not my point. 100k invested today does not get one too far in comparison to 1990 for a myriad of reasons. The current bubble is absolutely abnormal and should not be taken as yardstick for future growth
I knew that most likely you didn't mean that number. Yes. Expected returns will go lower. But it matters not, those who know their craft will do well. All of the rest, either will have to learn, to deal with the new reality or do that which humans do very well - complain. There's one more option - yolo. (smiles) (not the best way to go tho, if a mental stability is a priority)
