https://www.foxnews.com/media/cbs-60-minutes-airs-two-different-answers-from-vp-harris-same-question I thought she was terrible in the interview. I was actually surprised 60 Minutes was as tough as they were with the questions, but apparently they purposely edited the interview for her. I also thought the narration over her answers was bizarre.
Why didn't they run Hillary instead? Biden's (body double) seems clear eyed talking about the hurricane response, why not just run the fake Biden.
They often do the voice over thing to shorten a segment and they are always edited. That is how 60 Minutes produces. As we know Trump's will pounce on anything. As he has no interview for comparison, there is no reason for intelligent people to give his complaints any airing. Had he done the same format the 20 minute segment would have actually lasted 60 minutes with the voice over fact checks.
The two versions do not suggest that there was editing within the sentences themselves. Rather, the difference lies in the amount of detail provided. The shorter version condenses Harris' remarks, omitting specific details about U.S. aid to Israel, the threats from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, and U.S. efforts for humanitarian aid and a cease-fire. The longer version provides these additional details, but the structure and meaning of her sentences remain intact between both versions, with no indication of internal edits within sentences. Here’s what Harris says in the shorter version of her “60 Minutes” remarks: Bill Whitaker: “Does the U.S. have no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu?” Kamala Harris: “The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles.” Whitaker: “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.” Harris: “We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” And here’s what Harris says in the longer version of her remarks: Whitaker: “Does the U.S. have no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu?” Harris: “The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel. And when we think about the threat that Hamas, Hezbollah presents, Iran, I think that it is without any question our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks. “Now the work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a cease-fire. And we’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders.” Whitaker: “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.” Harris: “Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”
They should have asked her how will she feel on election night when she loses Michigan and Wisconsin thus the election because Benjamin Netanyahu. They should ask her how will it feel to know Benjamin Netanyahu cost her the Presidency of the United States and ended both her and Joe Biden's political careers while Netanyahu will still be PM and overjoyed that Donald Trump will be the next President.
