Cboe's CEO Resigns Over Undisclosed Personal Relationships; Tilly's departure comes after probe launched last month; Former TD Ameritrade CEO Tomczyk to take over top job
    Sally Bakewell - Bloomberg
Cboe Global Markets Inc. said Edward Tilly has resigned following an investigation that determined the chief executive officer didn't disclose personal relationships with colleagues, ending a decade-long run during which the company's stock more than tripled. The derivatives and securities exchange said it appointed Fredric Tomczyk, a current member of Cboe's board of directors, as its new CEO, effective immediately.

Yup Thanks to Harvey Weinstein now in-office relationship is a big thing now. Does it affect job performance? Doesn't matter. Was the relationship consensual? Doesn't matter. You slept with somebody from the same company and you are male; you need to resign.

How do you know he shouldn't have? Maybe he was invited to put his credit in the spread? :sneaky:

God, now I am never gonna look at a credit spread the same ever again.

It’s pretty standard (and has been for years) for companies to require disclosure of the relationship, a rule this guy ignored. Or do the rules only apply to working stiffs?

It was foolish on his part for multiple reasons as said disclosure also provides some insulation against sex-harrassment claims. He was probably cheating on his wife.

What a shame. People are having open marriage nowadays. He could've gotten some and kept his job. His wife would've probably wanted a divorce and walk away with half of his assets but that's what's going to happen anyway only now he's out of a job. It's very hard being a man nowadays.

Do you need to resign if you have 51% shares?
