Your post is good primer on the subject. Post something you learned from the articles that surprised you.
Cashless is not enough. Krypto should be banned as well. Then you will have a society with zero crime. I mean zero. Because that would be impossible to exchange money without government knowing it
Forget zero crime. It will never happen. You are talking about a society without exchanges, and consequently a review of all private properties. Just eliminating cash, makes zero difference unless you are poor... But none cares about poor people. That would be a bit like Jacques Fresco's "Venus Project". Utopian, but I do like the concept. Although, you would still have crimes. Less wars, less corruptions, less issues... But violent behaviour is not always related to poverty and money, it's in the human nature.
You said there will still be crime. How can you evade taxes? How do you do drug trafficking or prostitution when no cash or crypto to pay with?
You'll send money to a sex worker or a drug dealer on Venmo or Paypal or whatever. Or you'll use a credit or debit card. And the transaction will be labeled as a consulting fee, or housekeeper, or whatever. That kind of stuff is happening right now.
You can do this with hookers and they will be taxed. For drugs it is impossible cuz how will they pay it in wholesale?
I'm not sure I understand your question. You mean, okay, there's a guy selling little bags of heroin on the street for $40 each. You can buy that using a money transfer app, but how is that guy going to give his supplier $10K? And how is his supplier going to give some other guy $250K? They'll launder it through some other mechanism. If Rick in Miami, Florida wants to buy $400K worth of coke from Pablo in Bolivia, maybe he'll wire the money through a couple of shell companies and it will be used to buy a small condo in Daytona Beach, and the condo will be deeded to Pablo in Bolivia, and a month or so later, the condo will be sold, and the proceeds will be wired to Pablo in Bolivia. Maybe it will get taxed somewhere along the way. Lots of drug dealers pay taxes. They don't want the IRS coming after them LOL. It's no different than paying a bribe to the local police chief. That kind of payment is often referred to metaphorically as a tax.
So cashless and no krypto does not mean mafia will end? That is sad. So what is the point of going cashless?
Tracking. Force or persuade entities to buy certain things. Easy to tax. Easy to seize. Easy to freeze
