I've been trading Forex derivative binary option contracts through NADEX. However, I don't like this outfit for a number of reasons. One of my main gripes is that the minimum contract they offer is $100. Unfortunately, they are the only real regulated binary options broker in the USA... or are they?

According to The Tokenist, there are two other options. One of them is is the CBOE (and NYSE) which I looked into a while back, but totally disliked what I saw. According to the Tokenist:

"The last possible option you have to trade binary options in the US is through a specialist futures and options broker on the NYSE and CBOE exchanges. Basically, you use the broker to trade your binary options for you in a well-regulated environment. However, some of the brokers may decide to use Nadex and charge you as if they did everything themselves.

"That is the reason why many people will want to take charge and trade on their own without fees. However, CBOE and NYSE are a good choice as the chances are great that they will put your binary options trading in the hands of a real professional."

In the opinion of The Tokenist, NADEX is the best option. The pros and cons they list for the North American Derivatives Exchange are:

However, I'm going to have to verify the claim about deposits for myself. When I signed up with NADEX in 2011, there was a $100 minimum for all deposits, including the initial deposit. Then they raised the initial deposit to a $250 minimum, and kept the minimum for all other deposits at $100.

Info on the Web says they introduced a promotional "no minimum initial deposit" in 2021, but I never noticed them deleting the stipulation that deposits had to be at least $100 in the funding section of their platform, so again, I will be interested to see if this is actually the case as soon as trading resumes this week.

As for Cantor Exchange, the pros and cons, according to The Tokenist, are as follows:

Since they don't have demo accounts, I'll have to begin my investigation into the services they offer by seeing if I can find any info recorded on YouTube. Tokenist says that...

"Cantor Exchange is the only other exchange technically regulated by the CFTC and thus allowed to trade binary options to US citizens. It's accessed via Tradologic, which is an interface that gives you your trading and analytical charts and information right upfront."

Cantor is a ghost town and only offered weather mkts. There is also kalshi.com. Weren't you contemplating starting a fund (sic)? You're concerned about the $100 size on nadex?

At this point, all I am seeing is weather markets. I cannot find anything on their website about trading foreign currency pairs or Forex derivatives, so I'm going to go to YouTube now and see what kind of information is recorded about Cantor there.

All the videos are OLD! Several years ago I looked into an outfit operating in the USA, but it turned out that they stopped offering Forex a month earlier and where ONLY going to continue offering weather related binary options. Was this them?

I'm going to send them an email now and ask.

(I think this is going to be a bust!)

RE: Do you offer foreign currency pair binary options?

    AJ Grossbardt's answer...

    "No we do not."

So then, I guess I'm still stuck with Nadex (and Tokenist's information is out of date).

    End of thread
