Another losing season, from losing teams, from a losing country, Canadians, who claim to be great at Hockey have lost again. These clowns havent won a Stanley Cup since 1993. What losers!!!!!! No wonder, these are their leaders Canadian celebrations of His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation Its no wonder, no one takes that second tier country seriously.
Dumb concept. Canadians aren't all that unhappy about top notch professionals taking high paid jobs from less qualified Americans. Better build that wall to keep Canadian hockey players out. Make hockey in America Great Again, you know, like in Phoenix . Did you have a panic attack when Toronto won the NBA ?
Another year, the Canadians lose. Imagine claiming your national sport is hockey then losing to a team from Florida.
Here is the Florida Panthers roster: https://www.espn.com/nhl/team/roster/_/name/fla/florida-panthers As you can see...more Canadians than Americans. It's true that America has a financial advantage in luring players with lower taxes. 41.2% of the NHL is Canadian (an all time low). 29.3% is the league is American (an all time high). However, as hockey gets more popular in other countries the number of Canadians in the NHL should decline as Canada has only 11.7% of the US population. Why do you hate Canada so much anyways? Did you take that South Park movie seriously? I've been spending a lot of time up here these past 3 summers. Good way to beat the heat. My biggest problem with the country is they always find me suspicious and make me pull over to search my car. It looks like Trudeau is on his way out. Vancouver has a lot of the same problems as American west coast cities. They did drug decriminalization and it's been a complete failure there as well.
Similar statistics on the collegiate level too at top hockey programs in the United States...a lot of Canadian college students on top U.S. collegiate teams. I have always been surprised by that statistic considering youth and teenager hockey is so popular in Canada...wealthy, middle-class class, and poor neighborhoods. They all had outdoor and indoor hockey leagues although the wealthy areas had hockey all year around because they could afford indoor hockey facilities even in the summer. Comparing the two, I grew up in the United States but my children grew up in Canada. Hockey is everywhere in Canada just like football or basketball is everywhere in the United States. Yet, Canada has been making a very large investment in football and basketball on the youth level for the past 15 years in both boys and girls sports. The statistics for the past 10 years show more Canadians starting in top collegiate basketball and football teams in the United States than at any other time in college sports history. NCAA Frozen Four Hockey Championships...each team had Canadians starting on the hockey teams. I don't know where you've visited the past 3 years in Canada but I'm sure you've noticed the indoor summer hockey facilities for youth hockey sports. If you've ever visited in the winter...outdoor hockey is at every school, every school district and it's not unusual to see many homes with a backyard home-built hockey practice area in the backyard with a heating shed for neighborhood kids to warm up, change into hockey skates and such. It's fairly easy to get a permit to build a hockey rink in any local park too...usually at $100 fee. I built one like the one below but twice the size for about 5 years for my kids. Neighborhood kids would come over any time of the day (sometimes late into the night) to play hockey and they helped maintain it my home hockey rink too. Hockey is everywhere...even the nearby ski resort has an outdoor hockey rink. Plus we have the infamous Tournoi Pee Wee Hockey International Championships @ https://www.tournoipee-wee.qc.ca/fr/index.html P.S. I'm on vacation in the States...Chicago area for a few festivals, NASCAR race, Chicago Cubs game, Chicago Sky game (my first) and the Teatro Zinzanni. wrbtrader
