Canadian futures brokers

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a CIPF insured futures broker in Canada that offers exchange margins on VIX futures. Currently with IB but am sick of their crazy margins on VIX contracts. I've contacted RJO but they want $15/RT or $10/RT with $50k plus.

Do you have Introducing Brokers in Canada? They usually have all the tie ups and negotiated rates with the FCM's.

 

Do you day trade the VIX or hold overnight?

 

Not a common concept there. Most small offices would serve as branch offices of the FCM to the best of my knowledge.

 

A little day trading maybe while entering/adjusting positions, or playing a front month spike but mostly overnight. Hard to say if I'll meet RJO's 30 RT/month to qualify for their $7.50 RT commission schedule, but I doubt it.

You don't need to use a Canadian broker for futures btw.
