can someone help me understand this??

    At the top its says holder shares out value %. what exactly does that mean?? Is it saying how many shares these people sold?

    im sorry its suppose to say holder then shares then % out then value. This is suppose to be a graph. im jsut wondering what %out means.

    It's an abbreviation for "the percentage of total shares outsanding" represented by the number shown in the column to its left.

    Issued shares, yes. (Excluding treasury, i.e. unissued shares).

    but is there a way to know whether the shares that these institutions are holding are shorts or longs??

    Shares are neither "shorts" nor "longs": they're units of ownership.

  9. In the list that you are referring to (If i'm correct in assuming it's taken from morningstar.com), they are long positions only.
