REDDING, Calif. - A former Redding landlord is in hot water today after recent Reddit posts he made were shared across the app.

Charles Pierce is a 70-year-old former landlord of the Manzanita Manor Apartments in Redding. Pierce says he was fired from his role after his reddit posts came to light.

Pierce told Action News Now that under a now-deleted account, he posted that he received mail-in ballots of four previous tenants at the Manzanita Manor Apartments.

In a post to Reddit, Pierce claimed that he used all of the four ballots to cast votes for former President Donald Trump, and to vote "no" on all rent control and school bond measures in Shasta County.

Multiple Reddit users say they reported Pierce's account - "Mancow2000" - to the FBI for voter and mail fraud.

The Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters told us his office has turned this case over to District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett.

"I've never seen a situation like this where someone actually went onto a social media site and basically bragged about it" Tom Toller told Action News Now on Friday. "Our job is to make sure that the integrity of the vote is preserved, that we try to make sure we aren't counting fraudulent ballots."

The Registrar of Voters say that if its office determines someone intended to vote on more than one ballot, all of those ballots are then voided for that election. "Those four ballots belonged to other voters, who may still be registered voters in Shasta County. That's part of the reason why we take it seriously, and why it needs to be investigated" Toller explained.

Toller says not only is voter fraud a criminal offense, it also undermines the elections process. "When someone votes more than once, they dilute the vote of every other registered voter in the county. And, that's a fundamental unfairness that we just can't tolerate."

But, Pierce says he didn't actually do what he posted.

In a statement, he said he "did not engage in any illegal activities", adding that his posts were hyperbole, and that he was "too good" at inflaming and angering his audience.

He says the situation has been "blown out of proportion" and is "so bogus."

DA Bridgett also gave us a statement, confirming that the Registrar of Voters had referred the allegations to her office. She says she doesn't have any further info at this time.

According to California Election Code 18500, election fraud is punishable by up to 3 years in prison, which can be served in a local jail. The offender will be considered a felon, and will have their voting rights taken away while in jail.”

It's California? Why bother? Something a drunk would do.
Dems cheat using computer software, protected by a tilted DOJ.
They're not even taking a risk, been doing it for years.
There's evidence no one would hear and that's more disturbing than the actual cheating.
