What a great President he is, still hiding in his basement. He's worse than either Trump or Obama! ‘Bunker Mentality’: Biden Has Done Six Times Less Press Interviews Than Trump As President | The Daily Wire "President Joe Biden has done just 10 extensive interviews with journalists since taking office, far fewer than either of his last two predecessors. Biden’s number of interviews is nearly six times less than former President Donald Trump had done by the same time in his presidency. The difference is much more stark compared to former President Barack Obama, who had completed 131 interviews by the same time, according to former CBS White House reporter Mark Knoller."
Quantity does not always dictate quality. And to be clear, I'm not saying Biden's press conferences are quality. But most of Trump's weren't. My opinion.
Be careful what you wish for... it is actually nice to turn on shitty news and not see a spouting nonesense all the time... the fewer presidential interviews the better for now...
When you are President you get your choice of which approaches and tools you want to use. But you do have to deliver on some front. His problem is not that he does not do the sit down interviews - except extremely safe territory such as Stephanopolis. His problem is that he will not do the interview, he will not do press conferences or take questions after announcements, and does not go out on the trail unless it is an extremely safe - quick trip. Otherwise he maintains his basement bunker posture. Today is exhibit A. as an example. He really needs to be out in all sorts of places pushing his megabill since he is the chief salesman for it. Instead, he makes a sleepy visit to his home town and tells the same sleepy home town stories that he has told a thousand times. Contrast this with Trump. He was interactive with his rallies, his sit-downs (too many were entrapments but wanted them) and he was his own press secretary and liked to show up and do nude mud wresting. Not good in some respects but he put enough of mix out there so that people saw him and knew where he was with things. Then contrast it with Obama. Obama also hated press conferences but he loved the sit-downs because usually he could work his chemistry on the interviewer, and he was one of the best campaigners in history, next to Bubba so he did the campaign events well too. So he had other cylinders that he could fire on if one was missing. But Joe is in trouble in the polls and yet no-shows for field events, just shows reporters his back as he walks out when he does show up for a hit and run, and just does a couple interviews with old dnc and clinton cronies. Not good. It has ever been thus but in the campaign he always retorted by saying that he was ahead in the polls and gaining (because Jim Clyburn rescued him because Jim knew that Bernie was on the verge of winning. But that doesn't work now. Biden is losing ground so he can't just dismiss things the way he did in the campaign by saying "yeh, I am in the basement all the time but I am winning- what are your going to do about it." Nope. It has a cost. He is unable to sell his bill and it drops by about a trillion a week as a result. He goes to two big climate change conferences next month, with no money approved to show that the Americans are doing anything in that area. So far his ilk and handlers and bootlickers here try to paper that over by saying that Biden may not be doing his job but Psaki is. What could go wrong there are midterms? WOMP!!!!!!!!!!
Not only Biden but no other members of the cabinet are doing press conferences...We should be seeing Buttigieg everyday especially after taking 3 months off of work
Sure, but what about Kamala- the young woke sizzle on the steak of the Biden Administration- or that was how she was marketed anyway. She is out there on the front lines, right?
