Yahoo Finance glitch?

I am on mobile and can't post links or screen shots. But the comment section at Yahoo Finance (BTC) has people commenting on the erroneous 8,000,000 USD quote.

 

"Glitch" indeed! Hahaha! I also saw a weird price on Coinbase. But was not able to take a screenshot.

and who is the unlucky instant bankrupt?

Most likely it is a bad data/glitch.
I see it quite often in my charting softwares.

 

XRP glitched at 21,000,000 with market cap at 990 trillion. Tons of other coins did as well

 

My CoinMarketCap portfolio spiked to $361bn last night and then sorted itself out. No idea what caused it and not seen anything on the news.

 

there was article on Bloomberg last night.

 

so it is happening to xrp, bitcoin, coinbase.

something very fishy.
some hackers trying to scare the hell out of those who attempt to short cryptocurrency?
