Hi, I've been using CMEG as broker for a while, I am profitable for 7 months and my entire strat is to trade halt-ups, I enter in the last moment (13 second ) and bail at resumption. I know most brokers won't allow filling orders on the LULD price (Tried Cobra / IBKR ) and CMEG managed to fill me EVERY TIME (I assume it has to do with it routing to a unique market maker / being an off shores broker?) However, In the past few trading days, it joined the list of lame brokers, no longer allowing me to perform my strat. Do any of you know of a broker that fills on the LULD price? (Or the reason why some do / some don't / what makes the difference?) Thanks <3
Missed out on DJT this aft. Might of been a good thing long only "trader". But to answer your (odd) question, no.
“When the market price hits those levels, the stock is first put in a “limit state,” where additional momentum is paused, but new reversion orders can bring the stock price back within the bands. However, if the limit state persists for 15 seconds, the stock is halted for 5 minutes and reopened with an auction.” Are your orders “reversion” ones?
Then I assume that brokers were not implementing the rules properly and had to fix their code to comply. So the answer to your question is that whatever broker does not reject your order could be in trouble with SEC and will sooner or later fix it.
Is this Ben from Zendoo? using Schwab/TOS you can see it on the ladder (beware false halts look the same) and be quick on the action buttons, you can usually get filled.
Yeah brotha! I know about this, just considering brokers that might be aggressive with their fills. Does anybody here use Lightspeed by chance and can recommend?
