Women’s basketball player Brittmey Griner just plead guilty to drug charges in Russia. She faces up to 10 years in prison. In an absolutely stupid move, she brought drugs into Russia. Do I think she should go to Prison? no way ! Why did I mention that she was black? Because BLM is no where to be found. You Know why? Because it’s too much work for BLM and they can’t make any money off this. No riots, no protesting. I guess the American Justice System is looking pretty darn good now. I’m sure Brittney and her family are loving The United States right now. She needs to be released, no doubt .
When was the last time we heard of Russian police beating the shit out of, and unjustly killing, black people? That's what BLM is all about. It doesn't exist in Russia. So why should BLM care about it?
I find it disgusting how much of the press is pandering to her demand for celebrity treatment when there are other Americans imprisoned in Russia that are rarely mentioned.
So your argument is that people shouldn’t be upset/demand change with our current system, because Russia is worse? Russia is a dictatorship. Hypothetically speaking, imagine BLM had mass protests across the country for the Russian criminal justice system. What exactly would that accomplish? Would Russian politicians even be discussing it?
She deserves to be locked up. These entitled brats think they are still in the USA where they will get a slap in the wrist and not even get charged and given probation each time. Violent criminals are now routinely, let go without charges, without bail, after police risk their lives to arrest that felon. Shoplifting up to a certain amount is now not considered a crime and rarely even investigated. We are fast approaching the point where criminals will attack you at will, knowing even if they kill you and your family, they will not even be charged. If crime is rising in the US all over, it is because of extreme liberal district attorneys and judges refusing to enforce US laws on the books. Say what you will about Russia, they enforce their laws. It is sad that we have reached this point. I blame the US voters who put these extreme liberal bureaucrats and politicians who refuse to enforce US laws already on the books. This lunacy cannot continue forever.

Even if one were to leave aside the fact, which we simply cannot, that Griner clamored for the removal of the national anthem from WNBA games. So far, the administration is sending all the wrong signals, elevating Griner's case above that of actual political prisoners like Paul Whelan: A senior U.S. diplomat on Thursday hand-delivered a personal note from Biden to Griner, a move that followed a phone call from Biden and Harris to Griner's partner, Cherelle, in which Biden assured her that he is "working to secure Brittney's release as soon as possible, as well as the release of Paul Whelan and other U.S. nationals who are wrongfully detained or held hostage in Russia and around the world."
Whether or not she's a black lesbian millionaire athlete or she called for the removal of the anthem is completely irrelevant to the situation. She's entitled to the same rights as say Kid Rock would be if he did something similar.
