Tony was right. If you're an honest liberal (and I don't expect you guys to be), you have to look at this as a complete and total rejection of the last 4 years of policy. You have to start to consider moving back towards moderation, and abandon your fantasies of a progressive utopia. The country, by and large, doesn't want it. You lost to Trump. You lost to a guy who, quite possibily would have lost to anyone sane you put forth, but you tried to out do the crazy with your own version of crazy. Ignore the border, pretend everything is fine. Just keep calling Trump a nazi and a racist, repeating all of the same debunked crap about him rather than just focusing on putting a sane candidate up against him and being moderate. Spend money in the Ukraine. Party of warhawks used to be the GOP, and you happily took to that banner. Russia russia russia. It is. So hear me out for a second. You guys have tried to tie Trump up in court. You've called him a racist, a nazi, a bigot. You've told women he's the devil incarnate. He's been shot at. You've tried to jail him - repeatedly. Your media has blasted him over and over, repeating lies of things he never said, taking things he did say way out of context. Using clips and soundbytes to your advantage. Your social media (sans Twitter) has bent coverage to your side for so long, you consider it normal and fair play. You picked your candidate, held no real primary and tried to crown a queen. You played the race card, the sex card. You did everything that was humanly possible to take Trump out. Trump was the first republican to win the popular vote since 2004 (up 5.1 million at last count). He will likely push 300 electoral votes. Kamala didn't outperform a single county in the United States over Biden by 3% or more. Not one. Demographics are slanted completely in Trump's favor. Minorities. Hispanics. Puerto Ricans - who you guys told us were so pissed off - voted in records for Trump. It was a colossal landslide when you consider all of this. Colossal. The only way you're going to improve is to accept what went wrong. Or you can pretend it wasn't and keep going. Actually, those of us who are conservatives prefer you keep on, keepin on. Keep calling Trump a racist. Keep using the dog whistle. its worked well for you.

But the reason you did not, is because Obama is running your party. The best thing about Trump winning this time around (even better than the "he's gone in 4 years and we never have to see him again") is that Obama is done for now. Obama's policies, which have been the Biden/Kamala legacy, are a failure and the country is done with them.
