    Feb6 2023 Trade.png Hello.
Just rediscovered Elite Trader, been off the site for a long time. I have been trading since 1998 but only as a part timer. Since 2018, I have been more active trader and recently (Novemember) received funding through Apex. Before that I had been trading my own account through Amp Futures. I trade mostly ES and occasionally CL. I post my trades, executions and analysis on youtube for all to see. My main focus is to manage my emotions as the trading day unfolds and that has proven to be one of the biggest skills to master for trading. So I will show my trades but more importantly, gonna post mainly on the emotional impacts.

I have a full time job and trade only part time, about 4-6 hours a week if I am lucky. Because of the limited time, I some times find my self trying to force trades. I usually am working by 11 am EST, so I get 7-10:45 am EST 2-3 days a week. With so little time on the screen, I record the ES on Bookmap through a Youtube livestream and watch that at the end of the day in high speed. During that time, I try to recreate the emotions of trading and practice entries and exits on the set ups.

I first started that in July and since then, I have seen a DRAMATIC increase in my trading. The practicing of the trade with the emotional intent has made it much simpler to be cool during the trade.

So here is a trade I did today plus the two trades I executed. [IMG]

    Thanks for reading.

I can relate to your current progress to manage emotions.
Trying NOT to feel fear of losing profits when the market
is moving in our favor is a daily challenge, especially when
    adding to a position.

    Thanks for sharing.

Another Non-trading day for me. Yesterdays Action was unbelievable. On the ES, huge iceberg (absorption) took place at 4100, look at this screen shot . That was AFTER the first hit at 4100, it bounced, then came back. I didnt get to see it in real time but nice to see it play out on the recording. upload_2023-2-8_6-56-23.png

Got to trade to 11 am EST today and managed one nice one with a few scratches on my style. On ES, I believed we were in Balanced conditions and was expecting bounces at certain levels, 4155 area being one. After that failed, I waited until the trade below.

    What triggered your entry?

I have specific levels I watch for then look for the stop run to flush out the weker players, then want to see a PB with some exhaustion at the level. On this one, it was stop run on first hour low, short brief exhaustion.

Had a real nice day, here are the executions and a chart of one trade. For Oil, the entry was on a pullback to a breakout area . On the ES Trade, pullback to a key area and got a trigger for a long!

Are "absorption/exhaustion" terms that traders like to use to explain stalled price action?

Couldn't someone without bookmap make the same conclusion just using price action?
