I've started to enjoy watching Bloomberg while trading downunder in Australia. However the service is inconsistent. Sometimes it doesn't start up at all. Not sure what its doing - I have plenty of capacity on my computer and use Starlink. Not sure why the service is intermittent. I've looked at Bloomberg.com and Bloomberg Live TV+ is different from the IBKR feed - it is mostly ads. Does this change for subscribers?
5 minutes behind when I tested it. The app on amazon tv is quicker. App Built into new Samsung tvs. In the U.K. and Europe it is on freeway channel 208 as is cnbc.
With IB, just being able to use its application is considered a rare treat. Today, I dunno whether it's because of the NFP, but the software was horrendous! It was slow and I could barely move from screen to screen. So it's an exception that you would be able to watch Bloomberg on IB. It's not your computer; it's IB's servers. They are cheap and slow and highly unreliable. They are down all the time.
Makes sense. When it works it's pretty good - its a shame. I'm trying to rationalise some of my subscriptions. IB has most of what I need - just not good enough - like TradingView for charting.
That's IB to ya, giving you the bare basics for the cheapest price with no guarantee in quality while nickel and diming you elsewhere to become the most profitable discount broker ever.
