Blast hits government buildings in Oslo, Norway; shooter arrested at youth camp!

I`m not sure if you guys have heard of this yet, but I felt like posting it although it`s not financial news.

What a sad day for Norway. Seems like reality finally catched up with us as well.

I just saw live footage of the island where the shooting took place and there were bodies littered across the shore in addition to many bodies floating around in the water.

Just kids...

 

The religion of peace strikes again. Stand strong, I'm from the Washington area and one of my neighbors was killed on AA flight 77 which hit the Pentagon, there are many of us in the world who have been affected by terrorism but we can't ever let them win by succumbing to fear.

 

Reports say the shooter on the island was of Nordic appearance and the camp would be an odd choice for a jihad as elements of this youth group were calling for a boycott of Israel. But its a f*cked up world so who knows.

 

Actually, we don`t know that yet.

It was a native Norwegian speaking the local tongue that were arrested for the shooting on the island.

Although islamic terrorism was my first thought when I heard of this, there are other extreme groups as well that are capable of doing something like this.

 

Interesting, I just assumed because ther is an Islamic group claiming responsibility, the "Helpers of the Global Jihad", but they could be full of shit.

 

Yeah, I believe there are more than one Islamic group claiming responsibility for the attacks since they would want that, but it may be false claims.

It will be very interesting when we get to know some facts about what really happened.

 

This is a national tragedy. 7 confirmed killed in bombing in Oslo, 10 confirmed in the shootings at Utøya where the labour party held their annual youth camp. Witnesses tells of far more casualties.

"I wish I could have been at Utøya to tell him to shoot me instead of these innocent children" Fabian Stang, mayor of Oslo.

 

"We are so few, every fallen is a brother and a friend," - Nordahl Grieg.

USA population 310 million, 3000 dead in 9/11 attacks

You get psychopaths in any society, Norway's ratio for the number dead is higher than 9/11, will their response to this 'new threat' be same as the USA? I doubt it, sanity will prevail.
