The numbers came from a 2007 U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics report, which stated that blacks were victims of 7,999 homicides in 2005 and said that 93 percent were killed by people who shared their race. (It wasn’t clear to us where the blogger’s 9,000 figure came from.) Using the number 8,500, that translated to 21.65 blacks murdered each day by other blacks. So the blogger came up with a mathematical formula: 21.65 times 513 days=11,106. That 8,500 figure seems high, though, especially if we look at more recent figures. The FBI reported for 2011 that 6,329 black people were murdered, for example. So we can conclude that somewhere between 6,000 and 8,000 blacks are killed each year, of which 93% are killed by other blacks. Let's say it's 6,000 and the percentage is 90%. We don't want to inflate the numbers. That means 5400 black people a year are murdered by other black people. Roughly 15 per day. This would be the equivalent of the South Carolina murders happening twice a day, every day, all year long. Ya' think that might cause an uprising? Somebody might ask what the hell is going on. Nine people getting murdered by some lunatic who happened to pose for a picture while holding a Confederate flag is a tragic event. It should certainly cause all of us to take pause and ask ourselves some questions, but judging from what the actions have been one would think that this was happening on a daily basis. It's not, not even close. Not even marginally close. What is happening on a daily basis in blacks are murdering other blacks at an astounding rate. Rare and isolated murders committed by white racists are tragic events indeed. 5400 black people getting murdered by other black people each and every year is nothing short of a genocide. Apparently this genocide is of no political value to black leadership or democrats in general, which leads me to my question. If black lives matter, just who, other than those being gunned down, who gives a damn? Isn't anything done to address it. Good portion of the time it's simply ignored by those that cry the loudest. How is it that these people get themselves in such a twist when 9 black people get gunned down by one single white racist, but 15 a day, every day, really isn't even newsworthy? Something isn't right. The whole issue is cause for some serious introspection. I would suggest those pointing fingers at whitey take a long hard look in the mirror. Black lives matter? Really? The question isn't whether or not they matter to us white folk. Do they matter to you black folk? Judging from your actions, and more to the point, the inactions of your leadership, I'd conclude that they don't matter much. Least not to them. So now they are no longer a fact checker, but judge jury and executioner...... they are the ones who should judge whether facts are relevant from now on......... The reason they arent arguing with the number is because its REALITY. We saw this statistic repeated multiple times by conservatives on Twitter after the July 13 verdict: "In the 513 days between Trayvon dying, and today’s verdict, 11,106 African-Americans have been murdered by other African-Americans." We will leave it up to others to interpret the relevance of such statistics.. Again, truth doesnt matter, only their interpreted version of "relevance" This nonsense wouldnt pass first year law class, and they call it "Fact" LOL.
LOL, straight from politifact, there is this gem..... So they say there are just as ,many black victims as white victims, but they dont think its statistically relevant when there are six times as many black homicides per capita? By their own numbers they said that roughly 8000 black people were victims of homicide, then they say 8000 white people were victims of homicide as well, to them the population of either race makes no difference....... these guys are just butchering stats to be politically correct, whether you agree with me or not, i hope you would atleast look at the numbers and think for yourself...... this shit is garbage. The report also stated that 85 percent of white victims in single-victim and single-offender homicides were murdered by someone of their race. So that means the majority of black and white people are murdered by someone of their own race. In 2005, there were 8,017 white homicide victims.

Some who are citing this statistic are using it to portray race as an overemphasized point in the Zimmerman trial. We’re not evaluating that opinion; we’re fact-checking the math based on the available data. The number sounds extremely precise, but it's actually something of a rough guess based on back-of-the envelope math. No one actually knows how many African-Americans were murdered by other African-Americans in that time frame, and the numbers cited are actually an extrapolation of murder statistics for 2005. More current figures from 2011 show fewer deaths. So the specific numbers are not literally accurate.

Yep, the left goes to great lengths trying to minimize the horrific amount of black on black crime, but even if you use the lowest numbers, round them lower, it's still a staggering number of people being murdered. The response from leftists and black leadership...shrug of the shoulders, but, black lives matter. If it wasn't so tragic it would be laughable, but that applies to just about any leftist position.

"the number is wrong and your a liar," because my number shows 7856 homicides and yours shows 8335....... its the worst of the worst kind of internet fact checking, the numbers are essentially the same and they call it mostly false in an argument based on semantics. Its like saying google just beat earnings by 300 million, and some donkey calling you a liar cause it was only 297.
