Bitcoin will fork on approximately Thursday November 16. https://www.thestreet.com/story/143...n-november-expected-to-drive-prices-high.html and will result in a new coin Segwit2x. Bitcoin Upgrade at Block 494,784 https://segwit2x.github.io/segwit2x-announce.html .
Segwit2x futures: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/segwit2x/ How exchanges will treat the fork: http://www.nasdaq.com/article/to-b2...xchanges-will-list-the-segwit2x-coin-cm867517 .
A bit of a clusterfuck. I'm not yet sure if we're getting two different coins or a single coin tradable on both block chains
I think it's similar to the Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold forks: you will get a "free" Segwit2x coin after the fork occurs. .
Even higher now: On Friday 3 November at 4.24pm New York time, Segwit 2x futures https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/segwit2x/ are at $1928.65 or 0.2644 BTC If the futures are accurate then this fork will be a real event, unlike the tiny blips of the Bitcoincash and Bitcoingold forks. .
They rallied nicely today. Also, is it free money if it drags down Bitcoin by 2k? It's the technically Superior coin after all.
But that is the point that it doesn't. Everybody expected it with the earlier fork and it didn't happen. So yes, it is free money.
