I've spent a lot of time listening and watching Bill Maher in the last year, which has encouraged me to go back and listen to him before that as well. A few things I can say about Bill is that he has always been pretty much consistent in his views of things. That's a big plus. I used to see him as a seriously lefty. Now I think he is probably more middle road than 90% of the population, and I don't know if that is because I moved to the left or just when you look at Bill compared to the left today, he seems normal.

I'm going to post some of his stuff here. Really, really good listens.

  2. Yep, the other thing is that the lefty comedians are flat-out in the crosshairs of the woke mob now. They make their living and got into it in the first place based on their love of being politically incorrect. But its like being in Pyongyang for them now. They are just a pubic hair away from being sent to a re-education camp everytime they speak in public now.

Maher doesn't seem to give a shit about the risk to cancelation. He's putting out some real quality stuff.

He's been a disappointment to us on the progressive left lately.I stopped watching his show lately.

I can understand why you would think that. It makes sense, since I feel he's gotten more moderate.

But when you say he's been a disappointment lately, what do you feel he has changed on or pivoted on that you used to like him over vs. what he believes now?

  6. He is just mixing it up a bit when he talks about becoming republican. But he definitely thinks the Progressives have taliban tendencies and are a sour and dour group and a threat to american free speech. And they are.

"Bill Maher continues to insist that his politics haven’t changed — but the landscape is shifting beneath his feet so fast that the prolific GOP-bashing host of HBO’s “Real Time” suggested on Joe Rogan’s podcast this week that even he may have a tipping point to cross over to the Republican Party."

He used to stay in line with main stream democrats.Even if he disagreed he kept it to himself and didn't criticize much. When he was ready to move on from covid but dems wanted to keep it as a top issue I noticed he started changing. Not only speaking out to move on from covid but grievances he seemed to have been holding in like being against defund the police, the trans agenda,to much spending etc.

With the exception of police reform I kinda agree with him though.I was with the Dems too ,even with some stuff I didn't agree with, until they sold us police reform advocates out.

  10. I thought he tried to get you fired and formally went by AK47. This isn’t the same Tony Stark. I will take bets on that as well as you being CFO of a LEGITIMATE company.
