His way of active investing, the way he represents shareholders interests at board meetings, that's , that's attractive/nice as well.

Tho, any opinions on his short with Herballife ?
What was his mistake there , what do you think ? Timming / ego / bad luck with P.T.J going long ?

I guess after 3 years of losing, that is a must if you want to be competitive and show you are still alive.

  4. I think he got too full of himself with the Herbalife short. He was so convinced hlf would go to zero and he failed to take profits when he was up initially. Then he got crushed when the longs squeezed him. He probably thought he was God at one point.

It was Icahn going long. The problem with HLF is that while it smells like a scam (and it probably is), for forty+ years the FTC never went after them. Either because they fit the letter of the law or the FTC forgot to. Either way he was fighting a very tough battle to convince the FTC to change their minds. Especially as he tried to do it in a douchey way.
