Tracking #0DTE SPX customer flows today via 10minute Cboe Open-Close data and Trade Alert in Symphony shows a large upside call spread sold 9000x early in the day and a 5 point downside put spread sold mid-morning for 75c.
TA comment just now. No indication that either of these spreads was closed later in the day. 4508 close suggests $277k in profits for the put spread seller and $45k to the call spread seller before any costs or hedging considerations! While participants continue to debate the pros and cons of short-dated trading, it's clear that some larger accounts are actively involved.
"How much does symphony cost and is it available to retail?" Trade Alert is both available to retail and institutions this is just a TA grab from Symphony. Retail ain't going to pay for Symphony most get in from their bank. We contribute to it. Numerous folks on the forum get Trade Alert and TA regularly puts their stuff up on Linkedin, but it's not very timely vs. a direct subscription.
I follow trade alert on X but they don’t post much. There are other posters posting options flow. @ Flowseiden
