Biden's VP pick will be critical in this election for swaying undecided voters to either voter for him or against him. This is one of the few Presidential elections where the VP pick matters. Nation's reckoning on race looms large over final month of Biden's running mate search https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/26/politics/joe-biden-running-mate/index.html Joe Biden is entering the final month of his search for a running mate, a decision people close to the process say is now heavily influenced by a national reckoning on racism, as his search committee pores over records and conducts interviews before presenting a list of finalists to the former vice president. The search is being conducted under strict secrecy, with most campaign aides, donors and even many longtime Biden friends intentionally kept in the dark. Yet CNN spoke to more than a dozen people close to the Biden search process who believe that four of the leading prospects are Sen. Kamala Harris of California, Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Rep. Val Demings of Florida and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. "The whole way that (issues of race) have come to fro is having a real, serious impact on the search," said Rep. Jim Clyburn, a top Democrat in the House with deep ties to the Biden campaign. "You can do a search in order to check a box or you can do a search to get a running mate. I think this search is going to be genuine about getting a running mate rather than checking a box." Separate teams of lawyers assigned to each of the contenders are nearing the closing stages of reviewing three distinct types of records -- written, financial and medical -- in their background checks, according to people involved in the process. Members of the search committee have done extensive interviews with several candidates, the sources tell CNN, but Biden is not likely to sit down with finalists until mid-to-late July, with an announcement expected in early August. Yeah, no. Anyone who plans to vote for Biden, and there appear to be many, is voting for a known racist, slimy dolt. He could pick Chuck E. Cheese as his running mate and still win.
Thats not the best list to choose from.I personally like Warren the best out of the 3 but I think black voter turnout is top priority.Harris and Val have law enforcement backgrounds so I say Keisha.
Democrats believe the election is theirs and see this as a chance to fundamentally change everything. Not concerned about blowback, the DNC, not Biden will pick the most liberal, left fringe minded individual for VP.
The pendulum swings both ways, and it's way the fuck out on right field right now. A centrist won't cut it.
You’re closer to the truth than you realize. Our political system is in a literal death wobble, has been for the last several election cycles. A centrist is exactly what we need to bring some normalcy and healing to this nation. But both parties are hellbent on dividing and destroying this nation by pulling it towards the fringes. Everything is framed as us against them. This isn’t happening by accident. The Liberal posters here all proudly stand their ground, raise their hands, shout their voices, but you’re blind to the fact that you’re a pawn, expendable and being manipulated.
Warren would be the worst pick as it would piss off the entire black community and the young Democrats. Harris has baggage that may be difficult to explain. The other two have to be vetted and could fall apart quickly. Susan Rice knows where all the bodies are buried, is a well connected deep state run of the mill hack, and a radical left comrade. The loons would love her, but probably will push every sane independent towards Trump. Maybe he can pluck someone out of corporate America. Other than that it's Condoleeza for the win.
Hillary is a centrist, so is Joe. Don't blame the 'libs' for the shit sandwich you guys delivered to the WH.
Hillary and Joe, neither are centrists, they’re both liberals. Hillary was not/is not Bill. Kennedy was a centrist, today you’d label him a republican.
