GWB I’m surprised you didn’t include this in your daily spam....

President Joe Biden didn’t just announce a Covid-19 vaccine mandate on companies employing 100 or more people, he plans to enforce it.

On Saturday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House quietly tucked an enforcement mechanism into their $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” bill, passed it out of the Budget Committee, and sent it to the House floor.

Buried on page 168 of the House Democrats’ 2,465-page mega bill is a tenfold increase in fines for employers that “willfully,” “repeatedly,” or even seriously violate a section of labor law that deals with hazards, death, or serious physical harm to their employees.

    Good!

However the increase in fines is unlikely to stay in the final $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” bill. Nor is the $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” bill likely to pass at all --- without being trimmed down and changed dramatically at this point.

And it is questionable if this particular increase in fines for hazards, death, or serious physical harm to their employees would be used in enforcing the employer Covid vaccine mandate

Let's note the title of the article with the question mark - "Biden’s Vax Mandate To Be Enforced By Fining Companies $70,000 To $700,000?" The author is merely proposing that they will.

It should be mentioned that over 2/3rds of large employers strongly support the vaccine mandate. Business executives are quite happy the government mandated employee vaccination for employers with over 100 employees.

Not everyone who has a case of COVID-19 will have natural immunity. In a recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) study of those with prior COVID-19 infection, 36 percent did not form any antibodies against the virus. This is in stark contrast to antibody formation in 100 percent of (non-immunocompromised) people who receive even one dose of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna), as impressively reported in the large vaccine trials. So, from a practical perspective, if a business or school is trying to figure out if someone is safe to be around, they can rest quite assured that someone who shows them vaccine proof is safe, but it would be nearly impossible to determine if someone with prior COVID-19 is safe. Beyond the logistical issues of proving that a person had prior COVID-19, how can they prove they're in the 64 percent who have some natural immunity?

How's increasing the penalties for OSHA violations somehow a vax mandate?
