I've already shown you why that is an unlikely claim. The documentation you provided relies on one comment by a visiting professor at UTSA who noticed that sites like Zero Hedge ran similar stories as some English language Russian media. Hardly sufficient proof for such a charge.
There is a huge amount of evidence that Zero Hedge is a website that merely repeats Kremlin propaganda. Anything taken from it needs to be considered with complete skepticism. Just because they post a few articles mixed in which are aligned with mainstream news is meaningless. Bottom Line: Zero Hedge is not a source to be trusted. ZeroHedge https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/zero-hedge/ Overall, we rate ZeroHedge an extreme right-biased conspiracy website based on the promotion of false/misleading/debunked information that routinely denigrates the left. Bias Rating: RIGHT CONSPIRACY/PSEUDOSCIENCE Factual Reporting: LOW Country: Bulgaria Press Freedom Rating: LIMITED FREEDOM Media Type: Website Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY History Launched in 2009, ZeroHedge or Zero Hedge is a finance blog founded by Colin Lokey, also known as “Tyler Durden,” Daniel Ivandjiiski, and Tim Backshall. According to a Bloomberg Interview, the ZeroHedge founders/authors were anonymous until 2016. A Professional Service Subscription is required to read the rest of Bloomberg’s interview; however, a New Yorker article also covered their history. ZeroHedge wrote a rebuttal article regarding the Bloomberg interview that can be found here. A quote reads: “Zero Hedge hired Colin after he approached us over a year ago begging for a job after being fired with cause from Seeking Alpha, following a fight with a co-worker.” On 02/15/2022, U.S. intelligence officials accused Zero Hedge of amplifying Kremlin propaganda targeting Ukrainians and taking direction from Russian spies. Zero Hedge denies the claim. Read our profile on Bulgaria’s government and media. Funded by / Ownership The website is registered in Bulgaria under the name Georgi Georgiev, a business partner of Krassimir Ivandjiiski. According to Rationalwiki, the only writer “conclusively” identified is “Dan Ivandjiiski, who conducts public interviews on behalf of Zero Hedge.” The blog generates revenue from online advertising. Analysis / Bias A quote from the above New Yorker article summarizes the blog’s political stance, which Lokey told Bloomberg is: “Russia=good. Obama=idiot. Bashar al-Assad=benevolent leader. John Kerry= dunce. Vladimir Putin=greatest leader in the history of statecraft.” ZeroHedge’s content has been classified as “alt-right” and has been criticized for presenting conspiracy theories. In review, ZeroHedge publishes pro-right wing/Trump articles such as Pat Buchanan: “Trump Calls Off Cold War II.” As well as fake news stories regarding liberals: Anti-Trump Protesters Bused Into Austin, Chicago. Editorial content is written under the pseudonym Tyler Durden and usually focuses on conspiracies related to economic collapse. Zero Hedge sources to factually mixed think tanks such as The Mises Institute, which promotes Austrian (Anarcho-Capitalism) economics. Finally, during the Coronavirus outbreak of 2020, they have frequently promoted false and misleading information, as evidenced by failed fact checks below. "The FBI uses FD-1023 forms to document information that the FBI obtains from sources or meetings with sources and can include unverified information." So basically FD-1023 Forms include claims from any idiot who comes to the FBI with their made-up fantasies. It's the FBI equivalent of anti-vaxxers submitting nonsensical claims to the VAERS database.
Zero Hedge has a large following because it has a history of breaking stories first. I note that your "fact checker" (which states that its reviews are the 'opinion' of the reviewer), doesn't prove anything about Kremlin influence. In any event, this reports on events taking place at a Congressional committee that are being reported by Fox News and others.
Let's read the quote very carefully and then read the linked article. "U.S. intelligence officials accused Zero Hedge of amplifying Kremlin propaganda targeting Ukrainians and taking direction from Russian spies." U.S. accuses financial website of spreading Russian propaganda https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-n...ebsite-spreading-russian-propaganda-rcna16289
I changed the quote to 'prove' before you posted. There are people on the alt-right that don't buy the official Ukraine policy and narrative, and Zero Hedge writes for this audience. That doesn't mean it is Kremlin controlled.
Anyone who uses Zero Hedge as a source to "prove" their claim can only be asserted to be pushing complete nonsense. Get a better source.
