You should note the FDA panel included the boosters for "high risk" workers. She was merely aligned with the FDA panel guidance. This being said.... I think they actually need to create a system where they take an antibody level test first and only vaccinate those with a booster who are demonstrating low antibody levels -- for any booster given before a one year mark. The immunocompromised IMO should still get the early booster under all conditions -- as should Age 75 & over. Keep in mind that there was an expectation boosters would be required between the 1 to 2 years mark for this first-generation of Covid vaccines. This was the expectation from the early days of development.
Nope. Two definitions of high risk workers involved. The fda recommended for high risk workers based on high risk health factors for individuals. They did not extend it to define high risk as meaning -what they think are- high risk occupations. Obviously there are differences, otherwise the CDC Director would not be working so hard to explain why she overruled the science advisory panel.
