There appears to be are many types of options on futures on CME (and on ICE) that are not available on IB. For instance, Short-Dated New Crop Options, and Weekly options on many commodities such as Wheat. The only weekly option available seems to be on Crude. The volumes seem healthy for the Short-Dated New Corp Options on Bloomberg for Corn and Soybean (see attached charts). In fact the CME site shows that these two are among the top 10 most liquid Agricultural options market (see attached). I found a few interesting trading properties on these two markets and quite interested to trade them. CME website suggests that these are available on Globex (these options are not OTC / Clearport options). Would anyone have any idea if any other online broker support these markets (Short-Dated New Crop Options, Weekly Options on many commodities like Wheat) and/or is there any online brokers that support the widest range of Commodity Options ? Thanks
pbanerjee, I can't login to CME Direct on a Saturday morning. However, I expect that I can access all CME symbols. On CQG Qtrader I expect I can access CME and ICE. http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/cme-direct.html https://www.cqg.com/products/cqg-qtrader If you email me a list of symbols you want to access and what exchange they are listed on, the size of your account and any other information you want to share like where you are based, I can respond with what we can offer Monday.
