    Hello everyone

I've been looking for the best real-time news service for a while. Tried with Benzinga and it didn't work for me, TheFly didn't either ... they both have a delay of about 1 or 2 minutes.

Now I am testing the Bloomberg trial. I see that they almost always have the news instantly, at the exact same time as the cables (BusinessWire, PrNewswire, GlobeNewswire), but although I may be able to pay what it is worth to the terminal, it is excessive considering that the only use that it I will give is the newsfeed.
I also have the Refinitiv Eikon trial pending, which I understand the newsfeed is also in real time.
Can you advise me? Are those two the only ones who have all the news in real time or are there other options?
    Thanks!

Are you actually planning on trading based of the news?

If not a little delay shouldn't matter that much and paying such a high price for a feed is not worth it, if you are planning on trading based on the news, good luck beating the algorithms.

Wow, this must be the most brilliant post on this forum ever! You sir, you are a genius.

    Sarcasm mode off.

... So you think you can beat an algorithm? By the time you have read the news and processed the importance of it the move already happend a long long time ago.

Seconds for you are like years in algo land.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond! DevBru, I understand what you are saying, and I know that algorithms are hard to beat. But in specific news like FDA approvals there are possibilities. In the last week I picked up 3 news of those and made an average 30% to each one. Not bad

Not bad at all, until you are on the wrong side and lose 30% or more.

What was the benchmark that you subtracted to arrive at the 1 or 2 minutes result?
