My stock strategy has a 15 year backtest of avg 30%-50%/year returns with the same drawdown as the SP500. I also have 2 years of real money forward testing that has performed in line with expectations. What is my best option for monetizing this beyond just trading my own money? I'm a US citizen with a completely non-financial background. Is there possibly a way to advise/manage client money if I only work with non-US citizens? Just curious if there's a way to avoid the regulation.
All red tape that regulates investments in the US. So I guess a part of that, for one potential path, is avoiding being a RIA.
If you can find investors, here are some choices. -Run SMA, but not enough to have to be a RIA. Different in each state. -Create an LLC or LP with investors as Limited Partners and you as the Managing partner-You get paid based on partnership agreement. This is not a hedge fund which has another structure. Best for investors that know you. The hard part is finding the investors. The rest is not a big deal. 1245
I think the most likely investors I will have access to are Indian and Chinese citizens living in those countries. I'm wondering if any of the US regulations even apply in those cases. Anyone know?
Good question. One that you should ask directly to an attorney that can answer it, not in a forum. How do you know you will get a response you can rely on. I'll send you a link though a PM. 1245
