  1. Just surveying the field. What are some good note taking tools for trading and/or company coverage? Any suggestions or ideas for research management?

The comments are better than the articles. When the comments agree with the article then you are good.

  6. I don’t want to read other people’s research, I’m looking for a better way to manage and track my own.

    I just use spreadsheets.
You can run a column of stock codes, column of names, and then column of notes.
You can also run columns for data, eg prices which can be updated automatically.
The beauty being you can sort the columns with a click of button.

    I am currently using Obsidian.

It is a shift away from the hierarchical-tree note taking format I previously used (and am very used to), ala Treepad and Cherrytree. Treepad is no longer but a lite version still exists on some of the free software sites. Cherrytree is still maintained and is useful, even has a windows portable version! https://www.giuspen.com/cherrytree/

As with everything, pros and cons exist for all.
