I am testing a new strategy and would like to test it in a demo account. I currently do not have a funded account with a broker that offers stock trading, i have tried IB but their demo account executions really sucks and chart updates are very weird. I don't mind delayed data.
No, i think not anymore. I had it prior it begun & i heard that they no longer support it for EU citizens. But be sure to check out yourself, maybe im wrong. (and sorry if so) p.s. those who had it prior the changes, still can use it tho.
I checked and you seem to be right. Unfortunately it seems like there are little options for demo traders out there without opening and funding an account.
DasTraderPro, i think offer 2 weeks of free trial (maybe that changed too). And people talk about no such thing as being lucky. Was at the time and at the place. If wasn't using myself, would give the it away, sadly, need it myself. I think there's a way to get a real time data for IB demo (?) (not the delayed one) Maybe then it would have quick/realistic fill times, cuz in the past it took ages to get filled, let's say at 100 KO shares even at market order.
The realtime demo with IB is only for clients who have a funded account. I am looking for a way to test my strategy a couple of months, delayed data is no problem. However the executions in the delayed platform are completely off. I had a market buy order for 1000 shares as a test yesterday and it took maybe 15 minutes to get filled. Delayed data isn't an issue but if i buy based on the delayed data i want to buy on current price, no the price after 15 minutes.
