Best Broker for ES options?

  1. Trading 5 or 10 lots a trade, 10 - 50 trades a month, letting 90 percent expire, rarely spreading, 500k account. IB?

Which one are you using today, and why do you want to change?

IB have high margin requirements for ES options but this may be a good thing.

up vote for ib because i trade futures options there. it is easy if you are just letting it expired rather than day trade.

  5. Like how high?

  6. Schwab. The margin rates are high as are the commissions. I believe.

$16,000 Spx is twice that as the contract size is double. Spx may have lower commissions though as it is a security option though I have not been able to confirm this.

  9. I forget the reasons, but I'm doing ES over SPX. Have thought about full SP futures options, which I believe are only floor traded, but the size might bring down commission costs.
