Dear Traders I am proposing the following as benchmark trading performance: "Day trading options on index with plain chart reading skills." The above benchmark components are: 1. Intraday 2. Options 3. Index 4. Plain chart reading (see attachment) (If your index is noisy in one minute timeframe then I would suggest the next best thing to predict accurately is three minutes timeframe) You can propose a benchmark trading performance of your choice.
Innovation and Collaboration Most of my threads tops "Highest visited topics of the week" list. Why? (It is calculated based on page hits by "unique" members/guests) For obvious two reasons: 1. I choose topics innovatively 2. ET members collaborate well over the topics Thanks to ET members contribution!
Your topic is not innovative and has been done many times before, don't congratulate yourself so fast. Secondly your baseline contribution to the subject is elemental at best closer to nonexistent' where is your contribution? And thirdly whatever is your benchmark do you have anything to support it?
My Benchmark : 1% per Day For entertainment purpose only. Any meaningful benchmark should weight returns by its risk. 10% per annum vs 1, 10 or 100% risk is very different. Return Over Maximum Drawdown (RoMaD) ? These are for marketers. Traders should focus on processes. Benchmarks similar to Benchmark Engineering. PAST PERFORMANCE ISN'T INDICATIVE OF FUTURE PERFORMANCE ! P&L curves are only good for fapping purposes ! Focus on the best trades, withdraw 50% and live a meaningful life. That's my Benchmark. I don't care how much I've made. All I care about is sizing the next opportunity. + Learning from my mistakes. "You'll start making money when you stop thinking about it."
You forgot the MAIN reason. All the experienced people are laughing at the combination of posturing and ludicrousness of your posts. So much entertainment. OP wins the award for the most half baked. half (1/4?) truths that are out of context and lack any details. There has not been anyone so bad in at least 6 months. The last was a guy going to make million trading crypto as a new trader. He went silent after he actually followed some of the OPs out of context comments about avoiding loss.
Ok, I'm going to give you a couple week break, as we have received many complaints about the emptiness of your posts.
