Embarrassed, humiliated and run out of town. Here are three free agents to add to the band of stooges they currently have.
I hate to say I told you so, ok, actually I love saying it, but I did warn that the Cutler trade would not work out for the Bears. See http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/worst-trade-in-nfl-history.159994/ The thing about the Bears is they have a lot of talent, at least on offense. I also think they have a really good coach in Trestman. Something's not clicking, that's for sure.
That's correct somethings not clicking. You missed it: the bears do not want to play for Trestman anymore they give up. It's apparent that when they get down they give up. Leads me to believe they don't want to play for their coach. He is a spineless offensive coordinator (in the garb of head coach) that needs to go back to the Canadian Football League where he can win championships. He holds no player accountable for their actions, why isn't Cutler on the bench, why isn't Briggs on the bench (insubordination). Both players are team leaders, have not produced and have not shown any leadership.
Problems as I see it. A bunch of talented individuals but not a single leader to bring them together. A average at best QB making a best there ever was salary. A team who hangs their heads awfully fast when down a TD or two. No will to fight back. Totally unengaged on the field. Look like a bunch of guys thinking about what they're going to do after the game. A coach who evidently does not inspire people to play their best game. Zero accountability for failure. What this team needs, which can't happen due to union agreements, is a full pads, full contact week or two or practice sessions. Don't care who gets hurt. Don't care who bleeds. You want all the fame and fortune of modern day gladiators, then be gladiators. I don't give a shit about your fucking concussions. Couldn't care less about your broken bones. You want a nice safe job, go sell cars. No roster posted until Saturday afternoon. No guaranteed spots. Earn those millions.
Cutler is the tone setter for that team, now that Urlacher is gone. Cutler is a guy who might be ok with a strong locker room and a coach who has the backing to discipline him, but under these circumstances, you have the guy with the worst attitude leading the team. How is that ever going to work? Trestman definitely knows what he's doing, but he's more of an intellectual guy. I'm not sure Dikta could get these guys to compete. You have a QB who is extremely careless with the ball and a lousy defense. O line is not all that great either, although better than it was a few years back. so you turn the ball over frequently and have a defense that immediately gives up TDs. Then you're behind, so you have to pass and have a shaky QB behind a shaky line throwing more picks, which puts the defense in untenable situations.
In an NFL related snafu, the New England Patriots are in a little twuble over this tweet---that they actually sent out. No joke. they actually sent it:
LOL, the funny thing about this is that people are going to be offended by the use of the "n" word when they really should be offended by the fact that New England thinks so little of their fans that they allow a bot to make tweets for them.
He was brought in to coach a team of underperformers. They have obvious holes in their roster, and a dysfunctional QB. Trestman has been a top offensive coordinator in college and pros and won a couple of CFL titles. He may not be the right guy to whip this team into shape, but I doubt anyone could. Trestman doesn't coach the defense. The offense would be fine if Cutler wasn't a turnover machine.
Trestman is certainly smart enough and professional enough to be a head coach in the NFL, but his personality is not suited for this group of quitters. They hang it up really fast when they get bloodied. Should they go down a couple touchdowns early in this next game, it's going to get really ugly on the sidelines.
