Banning weapons in the USA

The USA builds weapons and supplies them to the rest of the world. So does the UK. War is a good business. A solider needs access to good weaponry to ensure they are effective against enemy soldiers. Fair logic in a world where we have war.

However, why does the average American on the street need to carry a gun. Oh wait, they need it for personal protection, to fend off the other people that carry guns. In fact they need a bigger, better gun to ensure the outcome of any confrontation.

It is very sad to see homes, streets and suburbs turned into battlefields, because people have access to guns. Guns should be banned in the USA.

Today's America is not the wild west, the right to carry arms was created in a time when guns were necessary. In today's America they are not. The right to bear arms should be removed from the constitution. Police should not carry guns. It will save many lives, stop families from being torn apart, and reduce violent gun crime. America can be the land of the free and home of the brave - but it doesn't need guns.

Thankfully I live in the UK. Which has it's own issues but that is another story...

That's strange....I live in an idyllic upper middle class neighborhood where practically every homeowner is well armed, and it looks nothing like a "battlefield". Quite the opposite, actually.

Imagine if those well armed households didn't have access to guns. The money they'd save could be put into their IRA's and compounded! Happy days!

Perhaps I've been watching too many youtube clips of US police officers shooting people. The facts speak for themselves - there were more people killed by police in the US in 1 month, than have been killed by UK police in the last 100 years!!

Imagine all those families that have been impacted by guns - kids growing up without a mother or father, husbands and wives lost, mums and dads, etc. All the social support structures that are needed for the families. The cost of cleaning up after the mayhem. Is it worth it?

  7. And so the bad haircuts here will propose to ban cars. Interesting gun. Must be a bitch to conceal carry.

Nah - don't ban cars - we love 'em. Sell your gun and buy a car instead. Although it seems like everyone is doing the opposite. Smith & Wesson has outperformed GM massively since 2011 !!

  9. Whose BS is that? Historically, car accidents kill about 50,000 per year in the US. Gun death higher than that??

  10. If so, perhaps if cars came with a complimentary flag and bible, the auto makers would level the playing field.
