http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/10/01/switzerland-commodities-speculation-idUSL5N0HN2DH20131001 Swiss are becoming like the rest of Europe, socialist hippies...They don't understand that André, Dreyfus, Glencore ... are one of the main reason the country is so prosperous today...
This referendum coming up s well, 2500chf per month for everybody. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/10/04/us-swiss-pay-idUSBRE9930O620131004 There is something quite attractive in the way swiss democracy works and so far the country has been quite pragmatic, but socialism and anti finance sentiment seems to grow stronger. Worth of note is the low unempoyment (around 4percent ) and already (very) high wages for low qualification jobs, hence I'm not sure wether the minimum 2500chf state allowance would change much, I guess one risk is less people will be willing to work, but I need to google what is the minimum welfare hand out atm.
This is the equivilant in the US of some far, far left winger or way out guy on the right getting enough signatures to get on the ballot. Anyone who has spent time in Switzerland know that these sentiments do not reflect the average citizen. The day the Swiss are cavaliere about money is the same day a freakin' cow will junp over the moon. If you look at the fringe -- on either side -- in any country, it is always an absurdity. The Swiss are not banning this type of trading and we all know that.
